The best source of expertise is a person, not a system. In Lyza, you can use profiles and endorsements, as well as the popularity and rating of contributions, to locate the community’s best topical experts. Lyza also provides integrated search of text, lineage, authors, users, comments, related links, and tags so that you quickly find relevant shared analytical items. You can then use Lyza’s tracing feature to understand the source systems, analytical collaborators, and analytical procedures involved in any item. And, since Lyza always shows you the vintage of the information in any analysis, you can avoid items that have not been refreshed with new data recently.

People trust you. Point them in the right direction. Lyza lets you send links to peers, suggesting items you think they should use. Your comments and microblogs about a peer’s analysis are attached to that analysis as searchable fields, making the entire discussion searchable and providing historical context for users who later view that analysis. You can also embed peers’ analyses as exhibit in your blog or in your shared bookmark collections, all of which create user-recommended links between one analysis and others related to it. While the author retains control of the analysis itself, any authorized Lyza user can attach recommendations for further reading.
